Power Line Systems, Inc.

Power Line Systems March 2001 Newsletter:

We recently returned from our Sun Valley user group where we unveiled the all new PLS-CADD/Lite and demonstrated recent improvements to PLS-CADD, TOWER and PLS-POLE. In addition to showing the improved programs, we gave a number of presentations on integrating PLS-CADD with GIS systems and databases as well as using different kinds of survey data for preliminary design and rating purposes.

For those of you who were unable to attend the user group we have web pages describing the following user group topics:

For links to these pages and other information about the Sun Valley user group please visit our Sun Valley User Group Page.

As usual, we continue to improve our programs at a rapid pace. Besides the features demonstrated at the user group, we will soon be releasing new versions featuring on-line electronic users manuals and context sensitive help.

Current PLS-CADD training opportunities include a September 17-21 class at EPRI's facility in Texas (80% of class spent in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and TOWER) and a November 5-9 class at the University of Wisconsin in Madison (details coming soon). We are also running our "Design of Transmission Line Structures and Foundations" class April 30-May 4 in Las Vegas.

The current shipping versions of our software are as follows:

We strongly encourage you to upgrade to the current shipping release of all the applications you own. To do so please send us email at info@powline.com. As always, we welcome your suggestions and comments on our software.

Best Regards,
