At Power Line Systems we continually improve our software. Below we list some of the more significant enhancements made during the year 2008. Click here for improvements made in 2007 or here for the most recent enhancements.

You may now select a "Aluminum in Compression (bird cage)" option per cable file
New Sections/Swap Attachments command allows for graphically moving wires around on a structure.
Increased maximum length of stock numbers to 40 characters.
Assemblies may now have user defined columns like parts do.
Galloping Ellipse report enhanced to print % area overlap, have a Cigre Report 322 option and draw Galloping Ellipses in the 3D view
Can now export many reports to Google Earth using KML, including: Construction Staking Report, Leg and Guy Extension Report, P.I. Report, Terrain Clearances by Span Report, Terrain Clearances by Survey Point Report, Thermal Rating Report and Structure Coordinates Report.
Added Video Integration with data supplied by Wire Services
Developed an x64 Edition that removes all previous point limits and invested heavily in making drawing, point selection, etc. remain responsive as project size exceeds 100 million points
Improved efficiency of graphical sag and its capabilities for handling noisy data
Created a more efficient backup file format that halves the time File/Restore Backup takes and that can compress larger files.
Improved Google Earth integration with faster export, display of P&P Structure Labels at each structure site, support for Google Earth version 4.2 and link from Structure Modify.

Increased maximum length of all element and insulator component labels and stock numbers to 40 characters.
Interaction diagrams and allowable spans can now be developed for left hand turn structures (negative line angles).
Developed an x64 Edition that takes advantage of the capabilities of 64 bit Windows.
The steel pole shaft optimizer is now 25% faster and also respects an optional maximum taper.

Greatly increased the maximum number of joints and angle members allowed to enable modeling extraordinarily large structures (e.g. a complete testing station).
