As
announced in our November '04
Newsletter, Power Line Systems will hold the next
official User's Group meeting in Atlanta, Georgia
on April 20th and 21st of this
year. This is the meeting that was originally scheduled for Pefnsacola Beach,
but had to be delayed due to the hurricanes. As a result of the continued uncertainties
surrounding lodging in Pensacola, Georgia Transmission Corporation has
graciously offered their facilities for this event. The auditorium seats around 300, so we have
plenty of room for you and your associates.
Here is a link to the detailed agenda for the User Group Meeting.
The schedule of the UGM
will be from 8:30 to 4:30 each day, and the forum will be casual. There is
no charge for attending the User's Group Meeting.
We will provide refreshments and lunches during the meeting, but you
will be responsible for your other meals, lodging, and all other
associated travel expenses. Black and Veatch will be sponsoring
a happy hour after the first day's meeting.
This User Group meeting
will focus on Rerating and Reconductoring topics, but will also include the
usual new feature review. There are many theories around
regarding rerating and reconductoring lines, and several presentations will
be made about the practicality (or not) of some of these theories on actual
projects. As presentations are finalized, they will be listed on
the right of this page, so check back frequently to see if any of them
are of interest to you. If you or someone from your company wishes to lead
a topic, please email Otto Lynch.
Otto and Eric Peyrot from Power Line Systems will be there to answer any questions that you may have, as well as spend some
time covering recent and upcoming improvements to our software. If you have any requests for topics you would like to see covered,
please email Otto Lynch with them.
Bookmark this page and keep checking it, as any additions or
changes will be maintained here.
Please register today so that we can make an accurate count and plan
accordingly.
We hope to see you in April.
