Power Line Systems announces PLS-CADD Users Group Meeting Details -- Register Today!

As announced earlier in our April Newsletter, Power Line Systems is facilitating another Users Group meeting in Portland, Oregon on July 10th and 11th. We will also be offering a four day PLS-CADD training session in Tualatin, Oregon, the week after the User Group.

Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) has graciously offered their facilities for our User Group meeting. The auditorium seats hundreds of people, so we have plenty of room for you and your associates. If you are unable to attend, we have tentative plans for another meeting in Texas in the next year. There is no cost to attend the user group, but you are responsible for your own expenses.

The schedule of the Users Group will be from 8:30 to 4:30 each day and the forum will be extremely casual. Listed on the right of this page are some major topics which will be covered by various users, with time allotted after each topic for a question/answer session as well as open discussions of how we are all using these applications. Erik Jacobsen and Otto Lynch from Power Line Systems will be there to answer any questions that you may have, as well as spend some time covering upcoming improvements to our software. If you have any additional topics you would like to see covered or are willing to make a presentation, please e-mail Otto Lynch with your requests. Bookmark this page and keep checking it, as any additions or changes will be maintained here.

As a result of September 11th and other issues, security at BPA is extremely tight, just like at an airport. Please be patient and arrive with a little extra time to pass through security. We must submit a list of attendees to BPA security prior to the meeting. It is essential that you register in advance if you plan on attending.

This is the meeting that many of you here on the West Coast have requested for quite some time, so we hope that you will be able to attend. Even though we are focusing on West Coast utilities and consultants, the meeting is open all users of our software. So please register today so that we can make an accurate count and plan accordingly.

We hope to see you in July.

Where Is Bonneville Power Administration and Where is This Meeting?

BPA's 911 building is located in downtown Portland, Oregon on the East side of the Willamette River. It is located about 10.4 miles from Portland International Airport (PDX) and is easily accessible by either rental car, taxi, or our mass transportation system, Tri-Met's MAX. Information on the MAX can be found on their website here. Please note the "Fareless Square", so if you want to get around downtown, the MAX is a great method to use and eliminates the hassle of finding parking spaces.
