Component Libraries

The following links will download component library files for use in PLS-POLE and TOWER. Use of these files is at the user's risk, and as with all projects, qualified Engineers should review and modify them as necessary.

These files will work with versions 9.30 and later of PLS-POLE or TOWER. Should you need to upgrade, please contact us at sales@powline.com.

Wood Pole and Material Libraries		Based on ANSI O5.1 2002 and 2008
Cable/Guy Library	guy.cab	Based on publicly available ASTM A363 and A475 data. Please note that the Allowable % of Ultimate values have been set to 100% since the 0.9 strength factor is normally accounted for in the Structure Loads tables (as we did in our sample NESC Criteria files).
REA Crossarms Library	rea.xrm	This is a compilation of two documents: REA 1728F-803 and 1724E-200. Please see the crossarm page for details.
Hughes Brothers Brace Library	hughes.brc	This library contains Hughes Brothers transmission braces.
Thomas & Betts LD Steel Pole Library	tbld.spp	This library contains Light Duty (LD) and Distribution Class (DC) steel pole designs.
Thomas & Betts Tubular Davit Arm Library	tbld.tdv	This library contains Light Duty, Medium Duty, and Heavy Duty davit arms for use with LD Series poles and other applications (please refer to your T&B catalog or representative for applications and bracket requirements).
Valmont SW Steel Pole Library	valmont_2005.spp	Valmont Newmark has updated their standard wood equivalent SW component file. New Steel Pole Property Label and Stock Number reflect the fact that multi-piece SW poles are not limited to galvanized poles. They can be either galvanized or weathering steel poles.
Sabre Tubular Structures Steel Pole Library	Sabre_STS-LD_2009.spp	Updated for 2009 This library contains Sabre light duty steel pole designs.
Ohio Brass Insulator Library	ob.inl	This library contains suspension, post and braced post insulators from section 26 of the Ohio Brass January 2002 catalog for Hi*Lite®XL transmission insulators.
Laminated Wood Systems E-LAM pole library	elam.lpp	This library contains LWS E-LAM laminated wood pole designs in the PLS-POLE laminated pole library (.lpp) format.
Lapp Insulator Library	lapp.inl	This library contains Lapp's Rodurflex® composite strain, suspension, post and braced post insulators. See the Component Notes and http://www.lappinsulator.com for more information.
FWT Steel Pole Library	fwt_wpe.spp	This library contains FWT's pre-engineered steel pole designs referred to as WPE's.
RStandard Modular Composite Utility Pole Library	RStandard_Utility20090421.fpp	This library contains the information necessary to design Resin Systems RStandard poles in PLS-POLE using the Fiber Reinforced Polymer pole element.
RStandard Modular Composite Antenna Pole Library	RStandard_Antenna20090421.fpp	This library contains the information necessary to design Resin Systems RStandard poles for telecommunications applications in PLS-POLE using the Fiber Reinforced Polymer pole element.
MPS/Reliable Insulator Library	mps.inl	This library contains MacLean Power Systems/Reliable Insulator APEX Family of strain, suspension and post insulators. See the Component Notes and http://www.macleanpower.com for more information.
