Version 13.00 Released

Version 13.00 of Power Line System's software suite is now shipping with many new features and some very significant improvements.

Among them in PLS-CADD is 3D Graphical Stringing which provides not only the ability to string wire graphically, but also in any direction. This makes stringing, even on distribution circuits and around congested substations, quicker and easier than ever before. PLS-CADD version 13 also includes new LiDAR Tools for point cloud feature code classification with functions for identifying ground points, structure points, wire points and wire attachment points.

TOWER version 13 introduces the Family Manager which automates the design, analysis and optimization of Body and Leg Extension combinations. With the Family Manager you can quickly create a family of towers with many shared leg and body extensions in a single ".tow" file.

In addition to these major leaps forward, version 13 offers hundreds of other improvements to functionality, reliability and performance. Use Help/Download Upgrade and you will receive a change list along with your upgrade.

Current Versions

The current shipping versions of our software are listed below. These versions support Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 (both 32 and 64 bit). We recommend you run a 64 bit edition of Windows so that you may take advantage of the enormous investment we have made in the x64 Edition. Note that Microsoft will terminate support for Windows XP on April 8, 2014. Since we rely on Microsoft support, we may not be able to support Windows XP in future production versions.

We strongly encourage you to upgrade to the current release of all the applications you own. To do so please use the Help/Download Upgrade command built into your PLS software. This would also be a good time to use the Help/Check for Updated Manual command to obtain the version 13.00 edition of the manuals.
